You used to be able to drink water right out the faucet,
But now to drink “clean” water you gotta put down a deposit,
And, I can drink Theraflu like its hot lemonade,
I guess that’s why it no longer provides me with the aid,
The label on it says it will,
See, the correlation I’m trying to make is the world is being controlled by more than those who push cocaine and “X” pills,
Because see there’s a prescription written everyday to cure whatever,
Like, arthritic pills that help old bones deal with cold, rainy weather,
Or, miracle headache powders, pills, and gel caps,
Side effects include dementia, drowsiness, nausea, and extremely long naps,
Then there are the pills for erectile dysfunction and small penis syndrome,
“We have an all-natural cure; just pick up the phone, and have your credit card ready,
Side effects include un-naturally long erections and an inability to keep your hand steady,
Oh yeah, um…other possible risks…um…heart-attack, memory loss or stroke,
But our products are all natural seriously, no joke,
Did I forget to mention, high blood pressure and blood clots,
And the un-explainable knots, forming in odd places,
Oh, please pay no attention to our actor’s before and after faces,
Are you having trouble becoming parents well we got a cure for that, too,
How many kids do you want one or two...or three…or in rare cases five,
Only risk is the woman’s chance of staying alive,
Besides that, the only side effect may be financial debt,
But if you pass this up, you’ll just walk through life filled with regret,
But guess what…we have a pill for that, too,
Well actually its pills and you can take them anytime, just don’t get behind the wheel,
Also be advised, you can’t take if you are pregnant, plan to get pregnant or plan to impregnate,
Oh, and you can’t take them if you just ate,
So just wait until you have taken all of the others pills our brilliant scientist-I mean pharmacists, have prescribed, then call us back for a re-fill,
Because if you haven’t noticed,
Our aim is not to kill, what’s ailing you, but to make you develop a dependency,
Besides, rehab is overrated and your addictions drive our industry,
Now, I’m often asked what’s the difference is between us and those that work the corners slanging dope,
Just these cool lab coats; and we get paid legally, to make junkies out of folks.”
